This past week the boys, two other volunteers and myself have all been working on mosaic projects. Bill and Piper have come down to Honduras several times as well and try to do a mosaic project with the boys each time. The sign in front of Casa Betesda is an example of one of their past mosaic projects. This time, Piper and Bill helped us each make individual mosaics on pieces of wood using rocks we collected from the river and pieces of broken plates.

Beneath each of our mosaics we wrote a Bible verse that had special meaning to us. Underneath mine I wrote part of Isaiah 61.

Please continue praying for the road!!! There has been rain off and on (as we start into rainy season) and we never know if we'll be able to drive up to the house safely or not. We are working on stabilizing the 'problem spots' in the road that turn into a slick mudslide with the clay dirt of the mountain, along with diverting the water from the heavy rainfall to prevent more erosion and damage. We are almost ready to start living in the house (just one more electrical problem to fix!) but with any rain we will be hiking up the muddy mountain to get to and from places until the road is finished. Pray for a VERY DRY rainy season!!

Franklin (below in red Blazers jersey) is in 8th grade and goes to school during the afternoon, while the other boys in lower grades have classes in the morning. With Franklin being the only boy home during the morning, him and I have been able to focus on his English more. This week I've helped him read his Bible in English and interpret into Spanish and it amazes me how quickly he learns!!! At this rate, Franklin could be bilingual in a few years. Please continue to pray for the boys learning English so they can have more opportunities in their future.
